After an even longer journey... ferry to Naples, bus to train station, 2 trains to Bari, bus to port, and overnight ferry to Croatia...we at last make it to Dubrovnik, a city with a very cool walled in city center. Extremely beautiful and worth the long trip. Walking zombies, we make it to our room and immediately crash. After a short nap, we head to the beach for a few hours. Day 2, mostly spent at the beach. Feeling adventurous, we signed up for a "sunset kayak and wine tasting tour". Allegedly we would have a leisurely kayak over to this island where we would then have a lovely picnic and possibly some snorkeling... allegedly I say. It was a tad bit gusty that day, so our nice kayaking trip turned into a rather terrifying and very difficult journey trying not to crash into the jagged rocks of the island Lokrum. Thankfully there was wine at the end! Checked out the peacocks and the cliffs, no swimming or snorkeling due to the previously mentioned wind/surf. Another exhausting kayak trip back to Dubrovnik. Day 3, shopping, acquarium, etc. until our overnight ferry. Check out our dinner of pizza and boxed wine before boarding.
